Collector’s box - Kytice
Love - maternal, loving and patriotic -, misunderstanding and conflict, guilt, repentance and punishment… These are the main motifs from the collection of ballads called Kytice, from which Karel Jaromír Erben extracted an inexhaustible treasury of national legends.
The combination of folk literature with the procedures characteristic of European literature of the 19th century created verse compositions with a dramatic gradient and gloomy atmosphere. The unique charm of selected ballads became the inspiration for the seven-part series of gold ducats and silver medals of the Czech Mint:
- The Bouquet (Kytice)
- The Water-Goblin (Vodník)
- The Wedding shirts (Svatební košile)
- Daughter´s Curse (Dceřina kletba)
- Lady midday (Polednice)
- The Golden Spinning-Wheel (Zlatý kolovrat)
- Christmas Eve (Štědrý den)
Each mintage is stored in a special packaging that includes a complete ballad. You can store your collection in this practical collector's box.
