Product description

The gift edition of the investment coin is stored in a special packaging which is numbered.

The first investment coins embossed in the Czech Republic are called the "Czech Lion". The Czech Mint has prepared a number of variants - the smallest of which is a gold coin weighing 1/25 ounce so that investors can easily regulate how much money they spend on them.

When using the word ounce, the expression must be further specified - there are many variations of this unit, some of which relate to weight and other to volume. In the international trade with precious metals - especially gold, silver, platinum and gems there is a troy ounce (abbreviated to "oz") a universally valid unit of weight. Its name was derived from the French shopping center Troyes in the Middle Ages. One trojan ounce weighs exactly 31.1034768 grams. Commonly occurring multiples or shares are used to express the price of metals, the value of which is usually quoted in US dollars per troy ounce.

The patriotic relief of the investment coins of the Czech Mint was inspired by traditional symbols of the Czech Republic: the reverse side of the coin carries a realistically processed two-tailed lion guarding the St. Wenceslas crown and the St. Wenceslas Eagle on the shield. The obverse side of the coin contains the attributes of Niue Island (the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2017 and the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD)), which licenses the Czech Mint to coin its own coins. The composition of the obverse side is complemented by a linden branch. The coin has two authors. It was designed by the leading artist Jaroslav Bejvl, who died at the age of 75 and did not finish his work. Therefore, the gifted medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS. took over.

The gold coin stored in a gift package represents an original gift which can become, for example, the basis of an investment portfolio.
