Master Yoda is the smallest and also the biggest representative of the famous Knights of Jedi Order - the guardians of peace, order and justice in one far far away galaxy, where long time ago had taken place the space saga named Star Wars. Star Wars, however, we find not only on the silver screen! A countless number of books, comics, toys and models are now expanding of a commemorative coin of one troy ounce of pure gold.

No one believed in the first adventure in an outer space in 1977 - studios, producers, even the actors themselves. They were very surprised, when Star Wars, with sales of $ 775 million, became financially the most successful film by that time. George Lucas - a screenwriter, producer, director and visionary in one person - has received only a modest salary from the studio 20th Century Fox. But he cleverly stipulated, that he will retain all rights to the merchandising, thus the products inspired by the film. The studio liked to give them up, because the licensed goods, at the time, generated only a negligible incomes. However, the eager fans took the shops by storm and the clothing and collectibles figurines with the logo of Star Wars laid the foundation of the empire with a value of over $ 4 billion, that has spawned six other films.

The most popular episodes of most fans and film critics is the one from 1980 - with the number five and a subtitle The Empire Strikes Back. It was thanks to the dark undertone, with a motifs of doom and despair, but also a new character, or preferably a little figure, which was Master Yoda. He became a mentor to the main character Luke Skywalker and on the planet Dagobah consecrated him secretly to the use of the Force and the ways of the Jedi Knights. It is this part of the story, that the reverse side of the gold coin shows. The obverse carries the essentials of the issuer NIUE ISLAND: the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II., the nominal value of 200 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2016.
