Product description

The singer, songwriter and composer Dalibor Janda is the seventh and last musical star who extends the cycle of gold ounce medals of the Czech Mint called Nightingales in gold. He won the prestigious musical trophy three times. The medal was released on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

When a young Dalibor Janda sang a new melody before one of his concerts, he still did not know he was working on a song that would change his life. He asked the writer Jan Kruta to write the text about the car accident because he had crashed himself several times, fortunately, without any serious injuries. There were two versions, however, the writer decided to make his own experience with a friend who died for motorcycle passion: "He said Hurricane, a boy like you, a motorbike flew with him when he got a skid, he supposed to be with his girlfriend when getting dark, has already been put to love for dinner." The song was called Hurricane and first appeared on a small board as the other side of the All Song on Mars. Incredible 150,000 copies were sold and it is no wonder that two years later it gave the name the debut album. Fans have earned more than three hundred and eighty thousand pieces, and Dalibor won the Golden Plate, the Silver Nightingale, and later  three Golden Nightingales in 1986-1988. "Hurricane" has always been a nickname for him.

The author of the design of the singer's commemorative medal has become the leading portraitist MgA. Martin Dašek. The obverse side belongs to the charismatic portrait of Dalibor Janda and his name in the inscription. The reverse side then presents an original collage consisting of gramophone record, tire, guitar with two necks, and dynamically conceived inscriptions HURRICANE, LIFE AS A CASCADER, GOLDEN NIGHTINGALE and 1986-87-88.

The medal embossed from a troy ounce of gold comes out in a limited load of only 100 pieces. Each is manually numbered on the edge. Do not miss the elegant collector´s etui.
