Seven prominent Czech artists follow the permanent legacy of the truth and love, which the first Czech president Václav Havel left his nation. Bořek Šípek, Jiří David, Kurt Gebauer, Aleš Lamr, David Černý, Jaroslav Róna and Olbram Zoubek joined their energy together with the Czech Mint and Nadace Dagmar a Václava Havlových VIZE 97. Together they decided to create a beautiful and big deed in meaning – series of attractive medals with the name Art for Václav Havel. Proceeds from the sale will be dedicated to the reconstruction of the St.Anne`s Church – Prague Crossroad (kostel sv. Anny - Pražská křižovatka), and they will posthumously satisfy the wish of the ex-president who passed away in 2011, at the age of 75.

World-famous sculptor Olbram Zoubek gave to Václav Havel magical sculpture golden-haired Iphigenia, which he created in 1986 inspired by the significant work of art of the ancient dramatist, poet and philosopher Euripides. It was presented in the theatre Na zábradlí then, directed by Jan Kačer. It was the artist`s most favourite sculpture and he gave it to him, because he highly appreciated that singular man. And later it took pride of place in his study.

Gold one-ounce medal Olbram Zoubek – Iphigenia in top proof quality copies plastically the relief of the masterpiece of the same name. The motif of the obverse side is completed by the author`s signature and text: OLBRAM ZOUBEK – IFIGENIE. The reverse side presents a scene with the heart on the palm of the hand and bilingual text: PRAŽSKÁ KŘIŽOVATKA /PRAGUE CROSSROADS. Both sides of the medal, based on Olbram Zoubek`s design, are prepared for mintage by Zbyněk Fojtů, sculptor, graduate of an Academy of Art (ak. Soch.). The one-ounce medal made of pure gold is placed with dignity in an eclusive wooden etui. It is created in order to bring fresh artistic wind  into your collection, together with its considerable investment potential. It could be the showpiece of  only 100 collections, because its mintage is strictly limited.
