Mickey´s Delayed Date 1 oz Silver coin
A grotesque called Mickey's Delayed Date - Mickey's Delayed Meeting became the motif of another silver coin from the cycle dedicated to Mickey Mouse's most famous film moments. The film, revealed in 1947, was the last one when Walt Disney dubbed the animated mouse.
The story starts with the excited Minnie Mouse, who waits in vain until her dear Mickey arrives at an appointment. When she calls him home, she finds out that he's been asleep, and he forgot about the dance party. She gives him an ultimatum. Either he will arrive within 15 minutes, or he will be wrong. While Mickey has a quick bath, his loyal dog Pluto takes care of his wardrobe. It fights with a naughty cylinder, while dresses Mickey unconsciously. By default, however, his party tickets are lost. Mickey's time is coming, and he's going on a frantic journey across the city. He does what he can to keep his luxury suit intact, but eventually collides with Pluto, who carries his forgotten tickets, and ends up in the dustbin. The dinner jacket is destroyed, and old tin remains on Mickey´s head instead of the cylinder. What does Minnie say? She is excited and praises Mickey's stylish costume because they go together for a "hard times" masquerade party.
The reverse side of the officially licensed coin, made by the New Zealand Mint team, bears elegantly dressed Mickey hurrying on a date. The figure is thanks to colouring rendered in vivid colors, the rest of the reverse side is embossed. Since the coin issuer is the Pacific island of Niue, its obverse side presents its attributes, which means the portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD), together with the year of the issue 2017.
The coin is stored in a luxurious wooden box with an illustrated wrapper and certificate that captures Mickey as soon as he learns with relief that he is going to a masquerade party.
