Mickey Through the Ages - Brave Little Tailor 1 oz Silver Coin
The little figure of Mickey Mouse was first introduced to viewers in 1928. Ten years later the animated mouse was among the brightest stars of the silver screen and won the role of a brave tailor, which is portrayed on this silver commemorative coin.
The shy tailor Mickey lives in a fairytale kingdom. He becomes a royal killer of giants due to a misunderstanding, which is supposed to free the realm from threats in the form of a dreaded giant. Mickey reluctantly agrees, because in case of success, he will be rewarded the hand of Princess Minnie. Mickey discovers, that the big man loves a good food, smokes and comfort. He competes with him and overpowers him smoothly by his tailoring skills. Like any good tale, this story has a happy ending - Mickey rightfully obtains the princess as his wife and the giant with his strength brings the joy to the whole kingdom.
The reverse side of the coin portrays Mickey Mouse in the title role of the tailor where he presents his “swordplay“ art with scissors to the king. The little figure is brought out in vivid colors, which contributed so much to the popularity of his grotesques.
