Set of circulation coins Czech Republic 2019

The Czech Mint, in cooperation with the Czech National Bank, regularly issues a complete set of Czech circulation coins that are completed with a commemorative token and stored in an elegant packaging with the motif of the Czech Republic. The year 2019, when our crown celebrates its 100th anniversary, is not an exception.

You use metal payments almost every day, but have you ever thought about what does their relief really represent? The crown coin bears the St. Wenceslas crown and the double-crown bears a button, a decorative jewel from the times of the Great Moravian Empire. Coins with higher nominal values belong to the architecture of the Czech Republic. The five-crown commemorates the legendary Charles Bridge across the Vltava River. The ten-crown belongs to Brno's Petrov, which is the famous panorama of Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral. The twenty-crown is dedicated to the monument on Wenceslas Square in Prague with the majestic statue of St. Wenceslas. The fifty-crown, which was, by the way, the most beautiful circulating coin in the world, bears the Charles Bridge, the National Theater, the Church of St. Nicholas Church and the Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral - unique buildings that are characteristic of our capital.

A commemorative token that is together with six circulating coins an integral part of each set was made by Petra Brodská, DiS. in 2019. The medal maker devoted the token to the century of existence of the Czechoslovak crown. The main motif of the obverse side is the sculpture of the lightbringer and the lion dominating the Prague headquarters of the Czech National Bank. The reverse side of the token is dominated by a cut of the St. Wenceslas crown from the current crown coin. The inscription around the relief then summarizes how the name of our currency has changed over the years.

Packaging in the form of a czech-english booklet with a wrapper represents a number of unique historical czech monuments by means of photographs and word.
