Oldřich Kulhánek, renowned and widely recognized Czech artist, focused primarily on graphics and painting. His career started in the sixties of the twentieth century. In 1971 he was arrested and charged with alleged libel and mocking of the communist regime representatives. The pretence for this action were Kulhánek’s graphic art prints from 1968?–1971, which pictured deformed Stalin’s face, perforated pentacles or ugly grinning faces of young builders of communism. Ironically, the communist judges who were judging the artist pocketed all eleven art prints that were originally earmarked for disposal
