Product description

The gift variant of the investment coin is stored in a special package, which is numbered.

The coins of the Czech Mint "Czech lion" are investment coins embossed in the Czech Republic. They are available in a number of releases, of course and there is also one trojan ounce of pure silver.

The Trojan ounce was given its name not according to the mythical town of Troy, known from the ancient Greek legends, but according to the French city Troyes [trua]. The seat on the Seine has been the center of trade since time immemorial, and gold and silver in units corresponding to the trojan ounce have been exchanged here since the Middle Ages. It did not take long, and this standardized weight spread throughout the world - for example, the English merchants in Troyes appeared in the 9th century AD. One trojan ounce, which can be converted to 31,1034,768 grams, is still a worldwide valid unit in the international trade with precious metals.

The world-famous designer Jaroslav Bejvl became the author of the patriotic pattern of the investment coin. He chose the symbols of Czech statehood: the two-tailed lion, the flaming eagle on the shield and the St. Wenceslas crown as the main motifs of the reverse side of the coin. However, he did not succeed in transferring his design proposal to the relief version - at the age of 75 he left us forever, so the young medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS, took over his last work. On the obverse side there is a linden branch together with the attributes of Niue island (the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2017 and the nominal value of 1 DOLLAR (NZD)), whose license allows the Czech Mint to coin its own coins.
The silver coin stored in a gift packaging represents an original and, above all, valuable gift.
