Czech Lion 2019

Silver coins impress not only numismatics and collectors, but also investors. The world central banks and the major mints therefore issue purely investment mintages. The Czech Republic had not issued investment coins. Therefore the Czech Mint released the "Czech Lion" - own investment coin with a foreign license.

The Czech statehood is represented by many historical symbols and artefacts. Although more than 100 years have passed since we ceased to be a monarchy, they include a set of Czech crown jewels, dominated by the luxuriously decorated St. Wenceslas crown. The majestic symbol of state sovereignty was made by Father of Homeland Charles IV on the occasion of his coronation. The name of the crown and its form referred to the Premyslid traditions, and therefore connected with the idea of the Czech state. It was not the personal property of the king, but belonged to the whole nation thanks to the patron St. Wenceslas and embodied the unity of all lands of the Crown of Bohemia. Thanks to these noble ideas it has never lost in history unlike a number of other European crowns.

It also appeared on the reverse side of the silver mintage alongside the flaming eagle on the shield while non-traditionally realistic two-tailed Czech lion guards both St. Wenceslas attributes. The relief of a ten-ounce mintage was modified in 2019, but the main idea remained. The original design of the coin was created by the medal maker Jaroslav Bejvl. However, he died at the age of 75 even before he finished his work, so Asamat Baltaev, DiS continues processing this masterpiece. The obverse side belongs to the name and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II., the year of the issue 2019 and the nominal value of 25 DOLLARS (NZD) which are the necessary attributes of the island of Niue that provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license for issuing its own investment coins. All of this is supplemented by linden branches.

Silver coins have a thousand-year tradition in our country. Enrich your portfolio with 10 troy ounces. The total schedule of issuance counts 500 pieces - 470 pieces are available separately and another 30 are part of a set of high-weight coins.
