Product description

Coins with religious themes are very popular among collectors. They are also demanded among believers and they represent a beautiful gift, for example, on the occasion of Christening. Czech Mint, for a silver coin named Smart, chose from the pantheon of Christian patrons Madonna Ostrobramska. Legend has it that at the time of the Northern War, she came to help the Lithuanian army against the invading Swedes.

This elegant silver coin with selective gilt is shaped into the form of the icon and is inspired by the historic miraculous painting of Virgin Mary from the 17th century, which is decorated with the sophisticated dress of gold and silver.

Madonna is reproduced without the baby Jesus, with a golden aureola , a halo of stars, crescent and head bowed in reverence.

The chapel with the original icon was visited by Pope John Paul II. and Vilnius became an important pilgrimage spot for visitors from Poland.

The authors of the artistic design ounce silver coin Smart are the medalists Luboš Charvát and Jan Petr, DiS. The reverse of the coin is embossed in the design of the original paintings and the reverse is dedicated to essential attributes of the issuer.
