Prince William, the likeable heir to the British throne, celebrates his 40th birthday. To mark the occasion, the Royal Mint's silver coin pays tribute to him.

The Duke of Cambridge has grown from a popular young prince into a mature member of the Royal Family. He is the cherished grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, devoted husband of Duchess Kate and loving father of three young children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Since birth, he has been preparing to one day become King William V and has been making the best name for his noble dynasty all along the way. The obverse side of the coin is dedicated to the attributes of the issuer - i.e. the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the text ELIZABETH II D G REG F D (Elizabeth II, Queen by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith), the year of issue 2022 and the nominal value of 5 POUNDS (GBP).
