Thaler to the birth of a child 2018 with dedication proof
The silver commemorative medal of the Czech Mint for the Birth of a Child combines two historic czech traditions, which means the habit of giving the newborn baby money from precious metal for luck and historic thaler mintages.
Did you know that thalers have spread from Bohemia to the whole world? The count Šlik began to coin them in the 16th century in Jáchymov. They were supposed to replace gold coins, the mintage of which was not enough precious metal in Europe because the Czech lands had abundant silver sources. The names of many other coins and currencies, including world-renowned dollars were later derived from thaler. They served primarily for business purposes in the history, but they also played a representative role. These tasks are still fulfilled today. The thaler for the birth of a child combines the material value of the artistically processed pure metal with the personal value that is enhanced by the engraved dedication.
The art form of the obverse side for 2018 is the work of talented female artist Lenka Hebeska, DiS. She placed the sleeping baby held by parents, together with the inscription THALER FOR BIRTH OF CHILD 2018. The reverse side is then dominated by a heart-shaped ribbon that defines the space to engrave the dedication or the name and date of the child's birth. The maximum range of engraved text is bounded by 4 lines of 15 characters including spaces.
Each thaler is stored in elegant gift packaging which can also be provided with personal dedication, but also with information about the baby or photos.
