Product description

Coins are historically part of wedding ceremonies around the world. For example, in Latin America or Ireland the groom gave the bride a coin as proof of his desire to share everything he has at the moment of marriage, with her, and everything he will gain during the wedlock. The bride then passed it down to their eldest son on his own wedding day. In Sweden the mother pledges a gold coin to her daughter and her father devotes a silver one. The bride inserts them into her shoes in order to attract prosperity into marriage. A similar tradition has been retained in the Czech lands, where the bride possesses a coin and four-leaf clover, so the marriage will not suffer a lack of money or happiness. The Silver Thaler is an original gift for the newlyweds, that not only expresses the wish of material wealth, but also preserves the memory of the unique moments that a wedding day brings. If you dedicate the coin The Wedding Thaler 2016 to the couple with the engraved dedication, you can present it to the bride before the ceremony, conveying the wedding traditions, or choose the usual way, and let your wedding gift shine amongst the others. In either case, the couple will receive a unique reminder of their wedding day, through which you will assure them, that they will forever be an important part of your life. With such a gift, you will certainly not go wrong!

The face is a beautiful artwork of pure silver designed for the Czech Mint by experienced medalist MgA. Josef Oplištil, who devised the motif of two wedding rings interconnected with a heart symbol. A tasteful reverse carries a space to engrave your sincere congratulations, created by academic sculptor Majka Wichnerová. The thaler is stored in a themed decorative case - emphasizing the value of the wedding gift, which the enamored couple will be both surprised and impressed by at the same time.
