200-crown silver coin Alpine World Ski Championship proof

The 200-crown piece is minted from an alloy containing 900 parts silver and 100 parts copper in proof-quality. The field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matte, the edge is plain with the inscription “ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13g *”.

The obverse side of the coin features the logo of the 2009 FIS Nordic World Ski Championship in Liberec. The name of the state in Czech “ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA” and the denomination and the abbreviated unit of Czech currency “200 Kč” are inscribed around the rim. Below the logo is the mintmark of the Czech Mint.

The reverse side of the coin features a composition of ski jumpers and runners and below is the legend in Czech “FIS MISTROVSTVÍ SVĚTA V KLASICKÉM LYŽOVÁNÍ”. The year “2009” is placed at the top and the initials of the coin’s designer, David Čermák, consisting of intertwined letters “ČD”, can be found at the bottom.

Each coin comes complete with a postcard-sized catalogue card made of white semi-carton, bearing a print in colours of the logo of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championship. It features the coin in silver colour, its relief being dry-stamped. The coin description is in Czech and English. The card is identical for both standard and proof coins.
