Want to help yourself? Do it! Part six.
A series of blogs about personal, authentic experience on how to deal with rising inflation and currency depreciation. About once a month I will write about my good and bad experiences, successes and mistakes. Have you read the last blog – Part Five?
Part six. What about my investment collection of coins?
I always start by listing, piece by piece, the individual coins from my new investment collection, or treasure if you will. I'm going to change it up a bit today. I've covered the development of each new piece in detail in the previous five blogs - check out how they (and I along with them) got on.
However, if I sum it up, I invested a total of €455 in my new gold and silver coins during that time, but always only a little at a time. My monthly purchase prices ranged from €62 to a maximum of €133 per gold Toliar.
The valuation they achieved during that time (and we are only talking about a few months) reached a total of €858. If in the meantime the value of money decreased by more than 10%, the value of my gold and silver treasure from coins of the Czech Mint increased by almost 100%. And that was already worth it, I guess we can agree on that, right?
What coin did I reach for this time?
Even coins are counterfeited
You have probably already heard that even gold and silver coins are counterfeited. If not, then it is all the more important to remember that it is important to buy from a reputable seller who not only sells coins, but also mints them. This applies to the Czech Mint to the letter.
And in addition, in the new coin issue, some selected gold and silver pieces also received the newest protective element - a hologram. And that's the good news! Believe it or not, today it is possible to place a hologram on a coin, which not only protects it, but also beautifies it.
The one that the Česká mincovna started placing on its selected coins is also unique.
Czech security Check (it's a funny play on words, which in English reads Czech security check) is the world's best. The hologram comes from the IQ Structures company, which is already a high degree of protection. But the real fun is then placing the hologram on the coin - and that's what the Czech Mint is all about. The result is breathtaking. Under a point light - for example from a mobile phone, a moving figure appears at a certain angle.
It is really difficult to forge this and it is not even worth it to the forgers. The technologies are extremely expensive, and then there is the mastery of getting a hologram on a coin.
The Czech Mint always gives good advice on the selection
I chose from several coins according to the proven principle - to invest, but not to go broke. So that, if possible, my purchase does not exceed €100.
And that's why I chose the Czech Lion 2023 silver ounce investment coin with hologram.
It cost me €83. It's new, so I don't have high expectations for the review yet. Although it is already happening. I found it at auctions for €94, so it has been doing quite well since the beginning.
As always, we will talk about how it goes in the next blog.
