Product description

The Ifjú Szivek Folklore Movement celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020. On this occasion, a set of Slovak circulation coins pays tribute to it.

Young Hearts is the most famous Hungarian folklore ensemble in Slovakia. Ifjú Szivek is also the only Hungarian stone theatre in Bratislava. The mission of this professional group is to present the art of the Carpathian Basin as an irreplaceable social value of Central Europe, which should not only be preserved, but also disseminated and popularised. The stage rendition of traditional folk dances, full of music, songs, costumes, customs and joy, is aimed primarily at young Hungarians living in Slovakia, but has enchanted audiences from all over the world during its performances abroad. The ensemble is also active in ethnographic research. It makes visible the diversity of nationalities in Slovakia and manages to entertain, educate and bring people together.

The set includes all valid euro circulation coins issued by the National Bank of Slovakia and minted by the Slovak Mint Mincovňa Kremnica in 2020. The nominal values are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 c and 1 and 2 €, which are supplemented with a commemorative token that presents the logo of the Ifjú Szivek ensemble and the building of the former Hotel U uhorského kráľa, which is now the theatre's headquarters.

The set is placed in a themed blister with a cover.
