Seven wonders of the ancient world

The first issue from a new cycle dedicated to ancient monuments that went down in history as the seven wonders of the world, commemorates the Great Pyramid of Giza. This special product will be appreciated especially by investors. The whole box contains one troy ounce of gold, but divided into ten identical coins of the Czech Mint. The moment you want to monetize only a part of your investment, you can break the pack and sell it piece by piece…

The Great Pyramid of Giza
is built of two million stone blocks, each weighing over two tons. The gigantic pyramid rises to a height of 147 meters and each side of its base measures 230 meters. Thousands of stonemasons, carpenters and ordinary workers worked on it for three decades without knowledge of iron and more complex technologies. All in order to honor their god - King Khufu, who ruled for two and a half thousand years BC. The ancient Greeks traveled to the tombs of Egyptian rulers like today's tourists. The pyramids were a mysterious mystery for them, as they were two thousand years older than the second oldest of the wonders of the world, which were the Semiramidine hanging gardens. The pyramids then paradoxically became the only one of the seven wonders that has survived to the present day…

The reverse side of the coin, which was processed by the medal maker
Petra Brodská, DiS., presents the Great Pyramid in its current form, which reveals the individual stone steps (the building was originally lined with white polished limestone, which reflected the sun's rays). In the background there is another smaller tomb and in the foreground is a detail of building blocks supplemented by an English copy of THE GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA. The obverse side, which is common to the whole cycle, then presents all seven wonders of the world - the Egyptian pyramids, the hanging gardens of Semiramis, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Feidius' statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the lighthouse on Faro. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by the foreign issuer, the island of Niue, the obverse side bears the portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2021.

Ten identical coins are
sealed in a special packaging. It is perforated so that ten parts can be conveniently divided if necessary.

Note: The packaging is covered with a foil that prevents damage during transport.
