Product description
Ounce gold coins impress investors who know that a well-thought-out portfolio cannot be without precious metals. However, the Czech lions - the investment coins of the Czech Mint issued with a foreign license - can also boast of artistic and collector's value and can be used as an original gift. They are minted in a unique design "reverse proof".
Coins are usually minted in one of two designs. You know the quality "standard" from circulating coins that cling in your wallets and their surface is completely matte. On the contrary of that, the relief of the coins in quality “proof“ is dull and the rest is mirror-glossy. However, there is another variant that the Czech Mint issued for the first time in 2018. It is called "reverse proof" and as its name suggests, it is opposed to quality "proof". The surface of such coins is matte and features a protruding relief with a mirror shine.
The reverse side presents traditional symbols of the Czech Republic - the two-tailed lion, the St Wenceslas crown, the flaming St. Wenceslas eagle and the linden branches. Circular composition bears coin specifications together with the inscription THE CZECH REPUBLIC. The obverse side bears the decorative branch, together with the attributes of the island of Niue (the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2019 and the nominal value of 50 DOLLARS (NZD)), which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to mint its own coins. The patriotic relief of the coin was made by Asamat Baltaev, DiS., who was inspired by Jaroslav Bejvl's original design.
The schedule of issuance of limited edition counts only 100 pieces and the coins are packed in a special numbered packaging.
