When you say the King of discotheques, most of us think of the likable character of musician Michal David. This musical element celebrates this year on 14th July incredible 55 years and as a part of his jubilee celebrations on 19th June he prepared a big concert in Prague. But it would not be Michal David, if it was the end of the surprise. He designed an original one-half troy ounce pendant of pure gold for his fans. But watch out, dear collectors! There will beonly 11 pieces of these exceptional gold jewels, each of them is dedicated to five years of Michal's life. This limited issue of The Czech Mint is a unique collector`s item and also an attractive investment.

When Michal David came to the Conservatory, he was captivated by jazz. During his studies, he began playing with the pop band Kroky Františka Janečka and soon also decided to flirt with singing. In 1981 he conquered the jury of the singing competition Intertalent with his song "Nenapovídej" and then his name was mentioned in almost all the mass media. A fresh musical expression and crisp lyrics brought Michal David to the top of the charts and on the walls of the girls' rooms. Currently he makes good use of  his talent also in musicals and he also successfully composes hits for his singing colleagues.

The pendant has a sleek shape of the piano, which is decorated with keyboard on one side and singer's autograph. The other side features the relief design of  the musical notation of his hit "Pár přátel stačí mít" and an inscription MICHAL DAVID. The pendant also includes gold-plated sterling silver chain. Everything is stored in an elegant gift etui together with a certificate of authenticity.
