Czech Lion 2019

Each coin world power has its gold investment coins. These are primarily intended for investors who want to benefit from time-proven precious metal. The Czech Republic have not had its investment coins. Therefore the Czech Mint issued the "Czech Lion", which means its own investment coins with a foreign license. The investment series is crowned by kilogram gold coins.

The heraldic figure in the form of a lion
is the distictive symbol of the Czech state. But how can be placed this exotic beast on the emblem of the country situated in the heart of Europe? The cue can be the legend of Bruncvik that tells the story of the prince Bruncvik on the way to far Africa, where he helped the king of the animals to fight the beast. Historians, however, provide us with more plausible explanation. The flaming eagle, also called as Premyslid or St. Wenceslas was our first historically documented symbol. They are not sure when it first appeared, but it had been probably used by the mythical forefather Čech. However, it had been replaced by the lion as a symbol of the Czechs in 1158. At that time the Emperor Frederick I. Barbarossa appreciated the help of Prince Vladislav II. with the royal crown and the new coat of arms - the silver one-tailed lion. The lion represented the virtues of a knight, the strength and courage that Vladislav showed when served the Emperor during the conquest of Milan. And how did the lion come to the other tail? Heroism of King Premysl Otakar I and military help of Emperor Otto IV played the role in the struggle against the Saxons. The second tail distinguished the Czech lion from the beasts of other nations and brought our land unique prestige.

Two-tailed lion also provides a gold coin with majesty. The relief of a kilogram mintage got a new design in 2019, but the main idea remained. An unconventionally realistic czech symbol keeps the other attributes of our homeland - the St. Wenceslas crown on the cushion and the St. Wenceslas eagle on the shield. The medal maker Jaroslav Bejvl became the author of the original design of the coin. He did not manage to finish his work before his death, therefore Asamat Baltaev, DiS, continues processing this masterpiece. The obverse side of the coin was dedicated to the necessary attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to issue itsn own coins. These are the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2019, together with the nominal value of 8000 DOLLARS (NZD). All this is complemented by linden branches.

Invest your money into one kilogram of pure gold exempt from value added tax in the form of precisely processed patriotic mintage. The total schedule of issuance counts 35 pieces - 20 pieces are available separately and another 15 are part of a set of high-weight coins.
