Product description

The free royal cities were the seats situated in historic Hungary, which had its own self-governing and legislative power, and thus represented islands of democracy in the then authoritarian feudal society. The third gold commemorative medal from the thematic cycle dedicated to the Slovak mining towns pays tribute to Banská Štiavnica which belonged among these residences.

The author of the mini-mintage, which was minted by the Slovak Mint
Mincovňa Kremnica, is the medal maker Branislav Ronai.
