Set of circulation coins 2019 to the birth of a child stand
The Czech Mint in cooperation with the Czech National Bank annually issues sets of circulation coins with the birth of a child. They are an original gift not just for numismatics, but also for anyone who has a newborn baby.
Many experts think that we are living in a time that will experience the end of physical payments. Some countries already do not use them. For example, the Scandinavian countries register the dominant share of non-cash payments. In Sweden, paper and metal money accounts for only two percent of the total value of all payments, and it is expected to decline to just one half of a percentage point by 2020. There is a real possibility that one day we will have only a payment card in our wallet, and perhaps we will simply use a mobile phone. Is it not a shame? Our circulating coins rank among the world's top - such as the five-crown of Jiri Harcuba, who is perceived here and abroad as an unrivalled master of the field, or Ladislav Kozak´s bimetallic fifty coin which was declared the most beautiful circulating coin in the world in 1993. We should be proud of it and maybe our children will be interested in what mother and dad were paying with.
An annual set of circulating coins was created for this purpose. It contains all valid metal coins with nominal values 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CZK, together with the year of the issue 2019 issued by the Czech National Bank and produced by the Czech Mint from Jablonec nad Nisou. Six coins that have not circulated are complemented by a commemorative token made by the expert medal maker Lenka Nebeska, DiS. It shows a sleeping baby that is held in parent´s hands together with a traditional toy in the form of a rocking horse.
The complete set is stored in a gift box where you can insert birth data and personal dedication as well as a baby photo.
