The issuer of the czech coins is the Czech National Bank and the exclusive manufacturer is the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou. The metallic currency jingles in your pockets thanks to the cooperation of both entities. But it is not just for a payment - it is also a target of interest of the passionate numismatics. To facilitate the collecting we regularly come up with a full set of circulation coins, which presents a unique opportunity to get a complete collection of the czech metal coins minted in 2016.
The coins are minted for the state always in response to its current needs - all nominal value, i.e.. 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CZK, with the same year of mintage, therefore, appear in public only rarely. However, it is always found in collector's set!
These six coins are accompanied by a commemorative token minted from an alloy of the Nordic Gold. This year the author is a talented medaillist from Jablonec Irena Hradecká, DiS. The obverse side of the token offers a cross section of the monuments of the Czech Republic. In the foreground is a rosette with the St. Procopius Basilica in Třebíč - the Romanesque-Gothic church is a national monument registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Behind the circular window then appears a romantic Bouzov Castle, with a castle ruins of Trosky and the mythical mountain Říp in the background. The reverse then belongs to Prague - specifically to the astrolabe of the Astronomical Clock and some of the countless towers of the capital: The Powder Gate, Týn Church and the Prague Castle skyline.
