An extraordinary edition of the circulation coins with the year 2016 issued on the occasion of the Continental Football Championship, which will be held in France and with which are the Czechs closely associated by a several interesting historical facts.

The very first European Championship in 1960 also took a place in France and our players, among whom was the legendary Josef Masopust, defeated the home team in the match for the bronze medal.

This time in the group are waiting for us the favored teams of Spain, Turkey and Croatia, so it is not going to be a bed of roses. The draw into the groups, among other things, was in the hands of the world-famous Antonín Panenka, the executor of the decisive penalty in the Belgrade Championship in 1976, wherefom our champions brought a gold exactly 40 years ago.

The circulation coins with the nominal values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CZK, which were minted in 2016 and have not undergone the circulation, completed Mgr. Petr Horák with a football commemorative token, where the iconic Parisian triumphal arch serves as a football goal. This all is placed in an elegant packaging, performed in the colors of the French tricolor and the football pitch where, in an addition, you can record the journey of the best team towards the championship title.
