After seven film episodes, the eighth and final Harry Potter adventure, subtitled Deathly Hallows, Part 2, also received its silver coin.

Harry Potter and his loyal friends Ron and Hermione search hard for the magical artefacts that hold the key to the immortality of the malevolent Lord Voldemort. Although they have managed to destroy several of these Horcruxes, the situation seems hopeless. Their wanderings take them to their old school. Hogwarts Castle may have been taken over by Death Eaters, but the students and professors here have not been broken. They defy their oppressors and band together to give Harry the time he needs to find the last shreds of Voldemort's soul. A duel that will decide the fate of the entire wizarding world is about to begin...

The unusual rectangular coin takes the form of a movie poster. In vivid colours, achieved by colouring technology, appear the trio of inseparable friends - Harry, Ron and Hermione. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry appears in silver relief. As the issuer of the coin is the island of Niue, its obverse side bears its necessary elements - the portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2021 and the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD). The design of the officially licensed coinage is the work of the New Zealand Mint's art collective.

Each coin is stored in a special box to protect it and set in an acrylic frame to allow it to be displayed.
