Ounce silver coin with the snake motif is an artistic, technical and spiritual unique piece.

Snakes are said to be vicious animals, and many people have a panic fear of these reptiles. Perhaps it is their long slender body without legs or perhaps the fact that they kill their prey with venom or strangulation. In reality, however, they are useful and misunderstood. While christians consider snakes as a symbol of temptation and identify them with the devil, in the religions of most ancient nations we encounter their cult. Our ancient ancestors believed that while snakes could sow death, they were also a source of life and rebirth, as evidenced by the regular shedding of their skin. Snake venom can kill, but it can also heal.

The snake commemorative coin has an esoteric message. While the obverse side represents one reality, the reverse side reflects another time and space. The serpent's flexible body, which is gold plated for contrast, intertwines between these two dimensions. All this is rendered in high relief. As the coin is issued with a foreign license from the State of Cameroon, it still bears the inscription REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN on the obverse side and the nominal value of 1000 FRANCS CFA (XAF).

The issue limit of the elaborate coin, which is the work of Le Grand Mint, is only 499 pieces.
