Product description
Czech National Bank silver coins with a nominal value of 100 CZK represent important institutions of the Czech Republic. The motif of the first issue that can boast top-quality proof is the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office.
The system of state agencies designed to represent the state in the protection of public interests is known as the State Prosecutor's Office. It has a hierarchical structure - the district prosecutor's offices are the lowest, followed by the regional and supreme prosecutor's offices, and at the very top there is the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office. This top office is based in Brno and is headed by the Chief State Prosecutor. The State Prosecutor's Office generally acts as the public prosecuting authority in criminal proceedings, with the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office representing the prosecution in criminal appeals before the Supreme Court. As a public prosecutor, it exercises the right of the state to prosecute persons alleged to have committed criminal offences, but it also performs a number of other tasks - it supervises subordinate authorities, handles complaints and issues interpretative opinions on individual laws.
The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of academic sculptor Zbyněk Fojtů, presents the logo of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office and symbols of justice in the form of a sword and scales. The obverse side is dominated by the large state emblem of the Czech Republic. The texts on both sides state NEJVYŠŠÍ STÁTNÍ ZATUPITELSTVÍ, ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA, 100 Kč, 2024.
All Czech coins - both commemorative and circulation - are minted at the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou.
