Unique silver coins with cut Bohemian crystal are the result of an unparalleled worldwide combination of traditional crafts from Jablonec nad Nisou - medal making of the Czech Mint and glassworks of the Preciosa. The motif of the Tree of Life became a new addition to the Crystal Coin gift series in 2020.

The trees give us the oxygen to breathe, the fruit strengthens us, the wood warms us and protects us, and last but not least, it is a pleasure for the eye and soul. Each of us should have deep roots, a strong trunk and a rich crown like a healthy tree. Not surprisingly, trees are one of the most worshiped symbols in the world and significant trees are found in most of the world's cultures. For example, the Bible tells of a tree of knowledge - an apple tree that was a symbol of immaculate humanity and whose forbidden fruit was tasted by Eve. Chinese mythology tells of a peach tree - its roots are guarded by a dragon, the crown is protected by a phoenix, and the only fruit that ripens every three thousand years will ensure immortality. In the Nordic sagas we find Yggdrasil - an ash that represents the universe. Whether their meaning is religious, philosophical or folkloric, all these trees express the ancient concept of the "tree of life" that symbolizes the unity and interconnection of all creation.

The medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS. dedicated the reverse side of the coin to the traditional depiction of the tree of life in a circular composition, where the leaves of the tree form cut crystal stones. The Czech-English inscription presents STROM ŽIVOTA - TREE OF LIFE. Since the Czech Mint coins are issued with the license of a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse sides bear its essential attributes - the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD), the year of the issue 2020, the name of Elizabeth II. and the portrait of Queen surrounded by decorative branches.

The coin comes in a limited edition of 1000 pieces and presents an original gift for a number of occasions. It is stored in an elegant packaging that can be used as a practical frame.
