Apostles
The Czech Mint presents saint Jude Thaddeus on the tenth silver medal from the twelve-part series entitled Apostles.
Jude Thaddeus was the brother of the Apostle James the Younger and a relative of the Virgin Mary, but otherwise we do not know much about his life. After Jesus' death, he became a companion to the Apostle Simon, with whom he traveled the Middle East - Armenia and Persia - where they both died as martyrs. While Simon was cut with a saw, Jude Thaddeus was killed by a club or an ax. For two thousand years, a generous saint has been worshiped as an intercessor in urgent, and above all hopeless situations that have no way out without force majeure - for example, in the event of a serious illness.
The medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS became the author of the relief.
The silver medal is not just an addition to the collection. Moreover, it will serve as a talisman for happiness to anyone in need and despair.
