Product description
The second silver medal from the miniseries, which is published on the occasion of 90th birthday of Jiří Suchý commemorates not only him, but also his theater colleague Jitka Molavcová.
At the end of the 1960s, clouds were gathering over the Semafor. Jiří Suchý lost his faithful partner after Jiří Šlitr's death, the normalization regime threw sticks at his feet, therefore, the artist seriously considered closing the theater. In the end, however, he persevered and did well. People would be even sadder in a bleak time without Semafor. "I see the meaning of our scene in the fact that I pour optimism, joy of life and a thorough dose of humor into the souls of the audience. Why? Well, when I once decided on my clown journey, it was based on the fact that, thanks to many comedians, I overcame various miseries in my life, " said Jiří Suchý. Then, Jitka Molavcová joined the theater. The winner of the national Talent singing competition was initially just one of the Semafor "girls". She sang French chansons about love in the original and played guitar. But then her hidden comic talent began to show, and Jiří Suchý realized that he had found a new soul mate. Since then, they have formed an inseparable artistic couple - their artistic and personal harmony, which we can only envy them, has lasted for fifty years.
The obverse side of the medal, which was processed by MgA. Martin Dašek, is dominated by portraits of Jitka Molavcová and Jiří Suchý. They do not miss the typical properties - saxophone and straw hat. The inscriptions bear the names of the artists and the names of famous Semaphor pieces. The polished surface behind the portraits symbolizes the glow of the spotlights. The reverse side, which is common to the entire miniseries, presents the Semafor logo, a keyboard and two headgears that are linked with Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr - a straw hat and a bowler hat.
Each medal is numbered by hand on the edge. For fans who plan to buy a complete three-part collection of silver medals, we have also prepared a wooden collector's box.
