Product description

It is said that the story is just as good as its bad guy. Star Wars is full of negative characters, and among the most popular is Jabba Hutt, who owns another gold coin from a collector's cycle inspired by the space saga.

Jabba is the most feared member of the Hutt family clan, who are creatures similar to giant slugs. For his home he chose the desert planet Tatooine, from where he controls the vast criminal empire. Smuggling contraband, slave trade, piracy, ... - a scrupulous gangster is not afraid of anything that brings him profit and power. Although Jabba reigns in the outer rings of the galaxy, his effect goes much further. Only he can grant permission to use hyper-spatial supply routes that lead him through his vast territory, and his connections have allowed him to prosper in the times of the Republic, the clone wars and the Empire. Anyone who dislikes Jabb is lost. Hutt's army of hunters supported by spy grids through every corner of the galaxy, captures spoils and prefers its leader. The merciless Jabba then decides whether the torturer will be tortured in the deserts of the desert palace, thrown into a bloodthirsty rancor, or thrown into the pit of a terrible sarlacc, in whose bowels he will live alive for a thousand years. If Jabba is in a good mood, he might just throw you into slavery. And one such slave maybe prepares Jabba for  life one day …

The reverse side presents Jabba's distinctive face with big eyes and even bigger mouth. The officially licensed coin was issued by Niue Island and its obverse side bears the necessary attributes, which are the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2018 and the nominal value of 25 DOLLARS (NZD). Relief is a collective work of the New Zealand Mint creative team.

The gold coin is placed in a wooden box with a refined mechanism for its exposure.
