Product description

Obi-Wan Kenobi guides us through the legendary space saga since 1977, therefore he is entitled to another silver coin from the Star Wars series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is an iconic film character that became the archetype of the wise mentor. For the first time the viewers could see him in the film episode with the subtitle A New Hope. The role of an eccentric hermit named Ben who lives on a desert planet Tatooine, turns out to be the Grand Master of the ancient order of Jedi Knights, took a respected British actor Alec Guinness. Although his role has brought him a considerable fortune, an Oscar nomination and legions of fans among the younger generation, he could not remember it with joy. It overshadowed his previous work, which he considered more valuable. Although Obi-Wan dies at the end of the first Star Wars, through the space forces still influences the events in the other two sequels, also with the face of Alec Guinness. When at the turn of the millennium the film saga returned with another trilogy, which takes place before the original, the role of a young knight won the charismatic Scotsman Ewan McGregor.

The reverse side of the silver coin is dominated by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is preparing for his fateful duel with Darth Vader aboard the Death Star. He has his lightsaber and knightly robe.

The obverse side then belongs to the name and profile of Queen Elizabeth II., the year of issue of the coin 2016 and the nominal value TWO DOLLARS (NZD), thus the attributes of the issuer of the coin, which is the island of Niue. The artistic form of the licensed coin was processed by the artistic team of the New Zealand Mint.

A part of each silver medal is a luxury box that protects the coin, while elegantly exposing it.
