Product description
The Star Wars movie is filled with a number of unforgettable characters. Darth Vader is undoubtedly the most stylish and the most characteristic one, to whom this silver coin pays tribute. Two-ounce mintage is remarkable for extraordinary high relief and coloring which contributes to its dramatic effect. The all-powerful Sith Lord, the right hand of the Galactic Emperor, and a menace to the Rebel Alliance - a man named Darth Vader. Even in the wildest dreams, no one could imagine that the face of Anakin Skywalker, once a noble member of the Order of the Jedi, was the ominous mask. The young man, who was known as one of the greatest champions of the bright side of the Force, was driven by his emotions, desired absolute power and completely devoted to the darkness. He betrayed everything he had fought for years. He destroyed his order, helped to establish a totalitarian regime, and called Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for a duel. The mentor defeated his disciple and considered him dead. However, the mutilated and disfigured knight survived, dressed in a black dress accepted the Sith name. Anakin Skywalker died when Darth Vader was born. He had spread terror in space for more than two decades until his own son opposed him.
The reverse side of the coin carries Darth Vader's semi-structure in a battle pose, while his coat flies on his shoulder and he holds his light sword in his hand, which has an iconic red color thanks to the coloring technology. The obverse side of the coin then includes the portrait and the name of Emperor Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2017 and the nominal value of FIVE DOLLARS (NZD), which means the attributes of the coin issuer which is the island of Niue. The graphic design of the mintage, which was made by the design team of the New Zealand Mint, is officially licensed.
Each piece of the issue includes a stylish box in which the coin is stored at an angle so that the high relief becomes more apparent.
