III. Secondary sale
E-shop products that are marked with the description "Buy-back product in perfect condition" have been bought by the Czech Mint from the owner and subsequently put back on sale. The condition of such coins or medals is 100 %. The packaging may show slight wear due to routine use, and this condition is not grounds for a warranty claim.
RULES OF REPURCHASE
I. General criteria
We offer, but do not guarantee, the repurchase of precious metals, i.e investment ingots, coins, medals. If the investment precious metals are purchased at the Czech Mint, the condition for the purchase will be proof of previous sale (invoice, copy of the purchase contract, record in the internal database of the Czech Mint, etc.) If precious metals are repurchased from another source, we will perform a purity test on a spectrometer, or other methods necessary to determine the purity of the precious metal (touchstone, etc.)
We make the repurchase after verifying the identity of the seller according to a identity card or passport. The seller must be over 18 years old.
II. Repurchase prices
The repurchase prices of investment precious metals are based on prices on world markets, i.e the movement of sales prices will cause the same movement of repurchase prices. The Czech Mint reserves the right to change this proportion at any time. Investment gold ingots/ bricks sold by the Czech Mint have their approximate purchase price published directly in the e-shop next to the item specification. All other products, i.e gold and silver coins of foreign states, gold and silver medals and coins and silver investment ingots, have individual purchase conditions, unless otherwise stated.
The repurchase price for damaged gold ingots (damaged or missing certificate) is subject to a deduction - see table.
Gold ingots | Deduction from the current purchase price |
1g | 200 CZK |
2g | 200 CZK |
5g | 200 CZK |
10g | 200 CZK |
20g | 500 CZK |
1Oz | 500 CZK |
50g | 500 CZK |
100g | 500 CZK |
250g | 1 000 CZK |
500g | 1 000 CZK |
1 000g | 1 000 CZK |
If the ingots are damaged, it will be necessary to submit purchase documents (purchase contract, invoice, receipt, gift contract, etc.)
We do not replace damaged ingots, we only rebuy them.
III. Repurchase process
If you are interested in repurchase, fill out the repurchase form on our website and we will contact you.
You can sell investment gold in the shop of the Czech Mint in Prague (passage of CNB) - Na Příkopě 860/24, in the store in Prague - Havelská 503/19, in the store in Jablonec nad Nisou – Mírové náměstí 15 or in the store in Brno - Rooseveltova 419/20 (opposite to Mahen Theater) after previous arrangement.
If the customer stores anything in the safe of the Czech Mint, it will be possible to make an online purchase.
Authorized employees of the Czech Mint will decide whether the delivered goods will be repurchased and they perform an optical and formal inspection (certificate, hallmark, weight) or ensure a purity test on the spectrometer. Repurchase price will be offered accordingly. If you reject our offer, the goods will be returned to you. When you accept the price, we will conclude a simple purchase contract which includes a description of the goods and the agreed price. The money will be credited to your bank account within 14 calendar days after signing this contract. We do not pay in cash. The price is fixed according to the prices valid at the time of purchase. Therefore, the purchase price corresponds to the purchase price on the day of concluding the agreement, i.e signing the purchase contract and taking over the offered goods into the hands of the Czech Mint.
The goods must be in the same condition as when purchased, i.e. in particular packaging and certificate can not be damaged, and the goods must be free of defects. If goods, packaging or certificate are damaged, the purchase price will be reduced or the purchase will be rejected.
In case of doubt about the authenticity of the goods, the Czech Mint reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the goods, which can last 10 working days after delivery.
IV. the Czech Mint does not rebuy
- Fractional gold (jewellery, dental gold, gold fragments, granules, bars,…).
- Purchase of other goods than from the Czech Mint - except for foreign investment coins and ingots.
- Colored goods, gold-plated silver or metals otherwise refined.
- Coins and medals in combination with glass.
We arrange all the details of the purchase with the client individually.
