Product description

Commemorative coins of the Czech National Bank with a nominal value of 10,000 CZK commemorate the most important state jubilees. The gold coins embossed in the exceptional quality proof were dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the introduction of the Czechoslovak currency in 2019.

Alois Rašín, who was our first Minister of Finance, is inherently associated with the introduction of the Czechoslovak crown. His monetary reform contributed to the monetary stabilization of the republic. The border was closed between 25 and 26 February 1919 and the Austro-Hungarian banknotes had to be presented by citizens of the new state and stamped from 3 to 9 March. The reason was simple - the Austrian bank put into circulation more and more banknotes, and if the new republic did not separate its currency, there would be a serious risk of inflation. A half remained in circulation and the second half detained as a forced state loan. Even though this measure was painful, it eventually began to be far-seeing. Central European countries, which had been issuing new banknotes and hoping to prevent the collapse of state finances, have only delayed their bankruptcy ...

The moment of the Czechoslovak currency and stamping of banknotes are commemorated on both sides of the proposal made by medal maker MgA. Josef Oplištil, who won the Czech National Bank competition. The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a stamp with a value of 1 K that is pulled from the sheet displayed on the obverse side of the coin. The imaginative relief is particularly remarkable in contrast to the polished coin surface.

The Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou is the exclusive producer of the Czech National Bank coins.
