Gold coin Bob and Bobby - Gardeners proof
Gold coin Bob and Bobby - Gardeners proof
Product description
On the second gold coin from the Czech Mint's collector mini-series dedicated to Bob and Bobek, both rabbits are depicted as enthusiastic gardeners.
Just a few curves, two dots for eyes, and a cross representing the mouth and nose, and The rabbits from a Hat are born. The simple yet iconic design of Bob and Bobek is the work of famous Czech graphic artist Vladimír Jiránek. He fell out of favor with the communist regime because of his cartoons in 1968, so he had to figure out how to continue his work. "I knew I couldn't draw human figures, so I drew rabbits and bears instead. They said things that human characters couldn't get away with," confided the cartoonist, whose famous white-eared characters came into being in 1978.
Medal maker Petr Patka, DiS., dedicated the reverse side of the coin to Bob and Bobek, who are juggling the rich harvest they have grown in their garden. Because Czech Mint coins are issued with a foreign license of the island of Niue, they also bear the portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025 on the obverse side.
Remember that the first silver coin came with a special collector's album where you can store your complete collection of three coins.
