Product description
Beautiful 50 years. It is the age of a program, without which we could hardly imagine our childhood. Every day we were eagerly waiting for the appearance of Večerníček on the screen. Večerníček in his car, on his rocking horse and unicycle and we tirelessly counted the cards he was scattering about during the jingle. This memory is a part of the joyous scenes of our childhood for several generations. The phenomenon of Večerníček is not neglected by The Czech Mint, which dedicates an attractive series of commemorative coins to him. The latest issue of 5 NZD coins of pure gold is dedicated to two naughty rabbits - Bob and Bobek.
Regular television broadcasts begun on 20th February 1954 and Večerníček started to speak in 1963, but initially only on Sundays. The Sunday bedtime story became Večerníček, as we know it today, on 2nd January 1965. During many evenings we were waiting for the appearance of the magician Pokustón`s hat and its two inhabitants on the screen - Bob and Bobek, but the second one never wanted to go out of the warm hat... Since 1978, eight seasons, 91 parts of bedtime stories were created in charge of these directors: Václav Bedřich, Miroslav Walter and Ivo Hejcman. The scripts were excellently written by Vladimír Jiránek, Jaroslav Pacovský, Jiří Šebánek and Pavel Šrut. The author of drawings is Vladimír Jiránek and the two rabbits speak to us from the screen using the voice of Josef Dvořák. The jingle of the series is written by Petr Skoumal.
The successful mintage of the gold coin dedicated to two cheerful animated friends from the hat represents Bob and Bobek in atypical hockey composition. It is due to thier role of mascots of the Ice Hockey World Championship, which they proudly fulfilled in 2015. The artist Vladimír Jiránek dressed them in a chic equipement and the composition for the reverse side of the coin was prepared by excellent medailist Irena Hradecká, DiS. The obverse side of the coin features issuer`s attributes.
