Product description

According to a popular saying One realizes what he has had only after he had lost it. The words apply twice as much to luck and happiness. When you are lucky you do not think about it. The pendant Fishes for Luck may however remind you of this. Life is like a huge and unrestrained ocean and if you meet someone on your adventurous journey who cares about your happiness, your existence had a meaning.

Czech Mint prepared a new issue of medals and pendants for luck with a motif of fishes; their design is the work of talented creative artist Zuzana Hubená. Principal themes of the obverse side are two fishes playing in waves and the motto Štěstí je žít pro druhého (Happiness means living for the other) – making the pendant a perfect gift for special occasions.

A golden fish is a symbol of happiness and luck – due to its calmness, freedom and long life. The fish is one of the eight sacred Buddhist symbols representing fertility, abundance and harmony with the flow of life. Old Greeks believed that golden fish brings success in marriage and in relations. Egyptians bred golden fish to secure happiness and well-being for their families. To donate a pair of fishes as a wedding present is considered as a token of goodwill. By this you show that you wish the newlyweds to find mutual happiness and be blessed with many children. The tradition comes from China – in Chinese the word yu means both fish and richness and, hence, it expresses that the donor wishes the recipient wealth and prosperity.

A gold pendant is a precious reminder of a beloved person. A reminder that will never get old, never lose its beauty or value, the same as the precious metal. Confess your feelings cleverly and gracefully – with Fishes for Luck from Czech Mint!
