The Czech Mint introduced Malá Strana (The Lesser Town) right after the Old Town and the New Town in the four-part miniseries of gold coins entitled Establishment of the Royal Capital City of Prague.

Malá Strana offers a number of sights. First of all, it commemorates the Baroque era - symbolized, for example, by the magnificent Wallenstein Palace with its extensive garden which was built by Albrecht of Wallenstein to overshadow the Prague Castle, or the monumental Church of St. Nicholas standing on the historic Malostranské Square. However, Malá Strana also offers much older and younger buildings. Few people who visited the capital city did not walk along the Charles Bridge, which connects the Old Town with Malá Strana, and ends with the Lesser Town Bridge Tower, which was built in the Gothic times. Lovers know the Petřín Hill, which is dominated by the Petřín Lookout Tower - a modern steel building from the end of the 19th century.

Academic sculptor Zbyněk Fojtů used the motif of the Church of St. Nicholas on the reverse side of the coin, which is considered the most artistically significant Baroque building in Prague. The tabernacle was coplemented by a Latin inscription MINOR CIVITAS PRAGENSIS (Lesser Town of Prague) and the historical emblem of the town. The obverse side is common to the entire miniseries and presents the Prague silhouette (bordered by Prague Castle and Charles Bridge), accompanied by the inscription PRAGA CAPUT REGNI (Prague, Head of the Kingdom). The obverse side also bears the name and the profile of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2019 and the nominal value of 10 DOLLARS (NZD). These are the attributes of the Pacific island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a license to mint its own commemorative coins.

Hradčany will close the cycle of coins with motifs of four Prague cities, which represent an addition to a numismatic collection or an attractive sight to visit the capital.
