The Czech Space Industry Mission to the UAE, organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abu Dhabi, invited the Czech Mint to be the sponsor of the protocol gifts on meetings between the officials of the two countries.

As a part of this arrangement, we were honoured to gift the coins from our Milky Way “space series” on behalf of the Czech delegation to His Excellency Salem Butti Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency in Abu Dhabi, and to His Excellency Salem Humaid Al Marri, Director General of Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai.

During the evening reception organized by the Czech Embassy in Grand Hayatt Hotel in Abu Dhabi, Czech Mint showcased its current product selection of beautifully crafted coins, attracting genuine interest and admiration, especially for the collector series with space theme.

We are pleased and honoured to be the chosen supplier for protocol gifts on the diplomatic grounds in the UAE.

Although we were greeted on the Arabian Peninsula by a storm the likes of which have not been seen here for at least 75 years, we successfully spread the good name of the Czech coin craft at The Currency Fair in Dubai.

Dubai Precious Metals Conference 2023 – the place to be for a professional!

At this grand event, we have launched several new products proving that the future of precious metals lies in the beauty of precise craftsmanship combined with advanced technologies.

A brand new "Treasures of the Gulf" product line debuted with a limited edition bullion coin named "The Horse" that presents a rearing stallion with unique Arabic calligraphy.

The delegates visiting our stand also admired "Above the Clouds" commemorative coins designed by an Emirati artist Ali Al Ali or the "Czech Lion" bullion coin with the central motif consisting of a minted hologram.

Despite the gloomy weather in November, the occasion of minting the Above the Clouds coin was done in buoyant atmosphere and left the entire team in high spirits. With our honored guests from the United Arab Emirates, we got to witness the production of the first pieces of this coin. On this truly special occasion the Emirati designer of the coin Ali Al Ali visited the production of Czech Mint and met with the co-author Petr Patka for the first time. After a long creative process of the coin development, it felt like a new child has been born into our large coin family.

Above the Clouds coin has been designed for all aviators and travel enthusiasts, it is produced from pure 999 silver in the highest quality finish. The coin is an embodiment of the idea that by overcoming obstacles one can reach a wonderful achievement.

Czech Mint is honored to be the first foreign mint to produce coins based on Emirati-created designs for the Middle East market.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at "Czech Design 2023" which was held in Etihad Museum in Dubai. The event was organised under the auspices of the Czech Embassy in the UAE with the support of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Czech-Emirati diplomatic relations. The different perspectives of Czech-Emirati cooperation in design and art were showcased by the leading Czech companies based in Dubai.
