Product description

UNESCO Organization protects not only the cities, national parks and other places of interest that have tangible form. There is also a list that contains the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. And the Czechs ceartainly have something to say about that! Our colourful history have created a series of unique cultural idiosyncrasies, and we have expanded the list by six exceptional traditions. They recently became the subject of an extraordinary set of Smart coins by

The Czech Mint:

Slovácký verbuňk – Famous improvised male dance from Moravian Slovakia belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005.

“Masopust” carnival parade in costumes in the Hlinec region  - Cheerful tradition dating back to the 19th century enriched the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010.

Falconry - The traditional way of hunting using birds of prey was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010.

Ride of the Kings - The funeral procession was preserved only in Slovácko and Haná. UNESCO-emerged in 2011.

Local custom of parading the Judas  - Easter processions with a masked figure take place only in the Pardubice Region. Belongs to the list of UNESCO since 2012.

Kladruby horse breeding – Kladruby is home of the noble Kladruby horses since the 16th century. A petition for their inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List took place in 2006, today it belongs there as the only living creature in the world!

A set of gold coins represents a set of six magical artworks by talented artist Lenka Nebeská, DiS.
