Product description
The Czech Mint in cooperation with the Czech National Bank regularly issue sets of circulating coins with the motif of the birth of a child and the year 2020 is no exception. The set is an original gift for anyone who has a newborn baby, not just for passionate numismatics.
Many experts think that we will cease to pay in cash. For example the Scandinavian countries have a dominant share of cashless payments. In Sweden, paper and metallic money account for only two percent of the total value of all payments, and they will probably not pay with banknotes and coins in 2023. One day we will only have a payment card in our wallet and perhaps we will simply use a mobile phone to pay. Is it not a shame? After all, our circulating coins rank among the world leaders - such as the five-crown coin processed by Jiří Harcuba, who is perceived as an unrivaled master of the field in the Czech Republic and abroad, or the bimetallic fifty-crown coin that was made by Ladislav Kozák and declared the most beautiful circulating coin in the world in 1993. In short, we should be proud of this and maybe our children will be interested in how did their parents pay…
For this purpose, an annual set of circulating coins was created. It contains all valid metal coins with nominal values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CZK and embossed year 2020 that were issued by the Czech National Bank and produced by the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou. The six coins that have not been released into circulation are supplemented by a commemorative token that was made by the medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS. It depicts parents holding their sleeping baby in their hands and a traditional baby toy in the form of a rocking horse.
The complete set is stored in a gift packaging, where you can write dedication and birth data about the baby.
