Set of circulation coins 2025 to the birth of a child stand
Product description
The Czech Mint in cooperation with the Czech National Bank regularly issues sets of circulation coins with the motif of the birth of a child and the year 2025 is no exception. The set is an original gift for anyone who has a newborn baby at home, not only for avid numismatists.
Many experts believe that we are living in an era that will see the end of physical currency. Some countries are already heading towards this scenario - for example, the Scandinavian countries, which record a dominant share of cashless payments. In Sweden, paper and metallic money account for just one per cent of the total value of all payments, and it is likely that the northerners will say goodbye to banknotes and coins for good in the near future. So there is a real possibility that one day we will have only a credit card in our wallet and may simply make do with a mobile phone when shopping. Isn't that a pity? After all, our circulating coins are among the world's best - for example, the five-crown coin of Jiří Harcuba, who is perceived in this country and abroad as an unrivalled master of the field, or the bi-metallic fifty-crown of Ladislav Kozák, which was declared the most beautiful circulating coin in the world in 1993. In the end, we have a lot to be proud of, and maybe our children will one day be interested in what mum and dad used to pay with...
For this purpose, an annual set of circulation coins has been created - it contains all valid metal coins with nominal values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CZK and the year 2025, issued by the Czech National Bank and produced by the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou. The six coins that have not been circulated are supplemented with a commemorative token designed by medal maker Veronika Prokopová, DiS. The relief of the token shows a stork carrying a bundle with a baby in its beak and a flying carriage being carried by balloons.
The complete set is stored in a gift packaging where a dedication and birth details of the baby can be inscribed.
