Czech Lion 2020

The “Czech Lions” - a series of investment coins minted with a foreign license in the Czech Mint – were issued in 2017 and since then they have sucessfully joined their famous world. They have been issued in a number of variants. You will find a complete set of seven gold mintages of various weights in the luxurious set with the year 2020.

Investment coins, as their name suggests, impress especially investors who know that an elaborated portfolio can not exist without precious metals. Wide offer of coins allows them to easily regulate how much money they deposit. However, the Czech lions also boast
collecting value and there are collectors who want to collect all available variants. Therefore, in a common box you will find coins weighing one kilogram, ten troy ounces, five troy ounces, one troy ounce, one half of a troy ounce, one quarter of a troy ounce and one twenty-fifth of a troy ounce of pure gold.

The Czech Mint
reworked all variants of investment coins in 2020, but the main idea remained. In addition to the Czech lion in an untraditionally realistic presentation, the reverse sides of the gold coins present two other symbols of Czech statehood - the St Wenceslas crown on the head of a two-tailed beast, and an eagle on the shield, which is a synthesis of St. Wenceslas, Moravian and Silesian birds of prey. The relief was processed by the medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS. The obverse sides bear the attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to mint its own coins. These are the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2020 and individual nominal values of New Zealand´s dollars. All this is supplemented by linden branches.

The schedule of issuance of seven gold coins counts only
25 pieces. It can be stored in a luxurious wooden etui.
