Set of Slovak coin 2025 - 75th annyversary of POFIS stand
Product description
This commemorative set of Slovak coins from 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the philatelic service known as POFIS.
The Postal Philatelic Service – abbreviated to POFIS – was established in 1950 as part of the Czechoslovak Post national enterprise with the aim of centralizing and managing the trade in postage stamps in what was then Czechoslovakia. In addition to the distribution and sale of stamps, it also published literature and enjoyed a monopoly in the field of philately. After the breakup of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the service was divided into two separate organizations, with POFIS in Slovakia, as part of Slovenská pošta (Slovak Post), continuing to issue Slovak stamps and related products. Through its activities, it supports the philatelic community and contributes to the preservation of the rich collecting tradition in Slovakia.
The set contains all valid circulating euro coins issued in 2025 by the National Bank of Slovakia and minted by the Slovak Mincovňa Kremnica. These are the nominal values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents and 1 and 2 euros, which are supplemented with a thematic commemorative token in the shape of a postage stamp.
The set is stored in a special blister pack.
