Archangels
The seventh archangel to appear on the Czech Mint's silver coin is Raziel.
In our prayers, we can worship God or his mediators who oversee various aspects of our existence. Archangels belong to the most revered divine beings who listen to human wishes and help those in need. The ways of the Lord are often inscrutable, and when we get lost on them, thanks to these kind and tireless heavenly messengers we can reach our desired destination. Raziel's name comes from the Hebrew רָזִיאֵל - Rāzīʾēl - or God is my secret. Of all the archangels he is the nearest to God, and therefore knows his plans and the greatest mysteries of the universe. He guards the divine secrets well, but he will not refuse those who want to peep behind the veil that separates heaven and earth. He will help those in need to find answers, understand dreams and tap into the subconscious mind.
The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of medal maker MgA. Tereza Eisnerová, presents a winged Raziel in the form of a mysterious magician. Abstract spheres dance between his palms, symbolizing the mystery of the universe. The obverse side of the coin features a temple window surrounded by wings and glowing rays. As the licence to issue commemorative coins of the Czech Mint is granted by the Pacific island of Niue, the obverse side still bears its necessary elements - the national emblem, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2024.
The coin with the image of the archangel serves primarily as a gift - for example, as a talisman for someone who needs a help in a difficult situation. You can therefore write a dedication or other message for the recipient on the certificate of authenticity...
