But then he met a magician who promised him a better life. He made Aladdin a merchant and gave him a beautiful ring. In return, he wanted him to go to a cave and bring him an oil lamp. However, he forgot to mention that the cave was magical and full of traps! Aladdin got stuck in it and began to prepare for the worst. When he rubbed his hands together in despair, a genie jumped out of the ring and helped him get out. Aladdin returned home and gave the dusty lamp to his mother, who tried to clean it. At that moment, another, much more powerful genie appeared, who could grant any wish to the owner of the lamp. Aladdin didn't hold back – he wished to marry the princess, and his wish was immediately granted. He also wished for a palace that even the sultan himself would envy, and in all this luxury, he stopped paying attention to the lamp. That's when a sorcerer who had been coveting it from the very beginning took possession of it. With the help of the genie, he robbed Aladdin of his palace and princess, but forgot to take his ring. The genie from the ring was not as powerful as the genie from the lamp, but with the help of Aladdin's cunning and the princess's beauty, the sorcerer was defeated and everyone lived happily ever after...

The reverse side of the coin, which looks like it came straight out of the Arabian Nights, features a magic lamp, a powerful genie, a luxurious palace, and Aladdin and the princess on a flying carpet. The high relief is embellished with rich gilding, UV coloring, and patina. The richly decorated obverse side is dedicated to the essential attributes of the coin's issuer, the island of Niue – it bears its coat of arms, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025.
