Product description

nto the popular series of Milestones of world traffic from the Czech Mint this year came another constructional delicacy, that for years dominated the airspace - the famous Concorde the aircraft, at a celebratory on the 40th anniversary of its inclusion into operation, on January 21, 1976. The oval colored Smart coin 1 NZD proof is a masterful tribute to celebrated a giant, in an amazing design of artist Roman Shamilyan.

An unconventional elliptical shape of the Smart coins has provided an interesting space for a composition on the reverse, formed of the front and side view of the machine and is complemented by a large, blue-colored central inscription The Concorde and smaller text 40 YEARS OF CONCORDE – 40 LET CONCORDU. The obverse side is dominated by a portrait of the British ruler Elizabeth II. supplemented by three different perspectives on flying Concord and texts ELIZABETZ II., NIUE ISLAND, nominal 1 DOLLAR, , and the year of the mintage 2016. Do not forget to enrich your collections by another extraordinary addition, the issue is strictly limited to just 300 pieces!

In all ways the unique aircraft Concorde was, since its first test takeoff in 1969, considered a revolution in aviation. In its development has involved many reputable companies such as an engine company Rolls-Royce. Thanks to its performance, which developed up to twice the speed of sound, the The Concorde enrolled in the Guinness Book of Records at the time of circling the globe in less than 32 hours. The Concorde was also unique in the fact, that he could "outrun" time, thus allowing to experience the sunrise twice in one day. Only its starting speed was 400 km per hour and traveling one more than quintuple. Its uniqueness is also demonstrated by the fact, that the British have chosen it the most typical symbol of their country.
